Spicy Shrimp Alfredo Pasta tutorial

Another easy seafood staple around our house. I used shrimp for the tutorial but you can use scallops, mussels, crawfish or even chicken with mushrooms!

Ingredients

1 lb shrimp
2 Tbls oil
1 Tbls chopped garlic
1 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1 jar of Alfredo sauce
1/2 tsp creole seasoning
1 Tbls butter
1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
8 oz spaghetti, cooked

Step 1

Saute the onions, green onions, and garlic in the oil until soft.

Step 2

Add the shrimp and cook until the shrimp turn pink/white. Don't worry about cooking them through just yet.

Step 3

Add the jar of Alfredo sauce. Stir and add the creole seasoning. Simmer on low for 10-15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Once the shrimp are cooked through add the cooked pasta and toss. Then add the butter and shredded cheese, stir together. Remove from heat and let sit for 5 or so minutes so the cheese can melt and the sauce can thicken.

This is really good served with garlic bread and a salad. Mmm...

Luckily all of the ingredients are in my kitchen. Will be using this recipe tonight and adding broccoli on the side just to have a veggie :-)
