For those who don't know what a King Cake is, it's a cinnamon-sugar  braided yeast bread, stuffed with your choice of fillings, topped with white icing, and colored sugars. It's a tradition in Louisiana around Mardi Gras, and Haydel's is arguably the BEST King Cakes in Louisiana!

I live about 30-45 min from shreveport and thats the only place ive actually been too. I love the boardwalk there !

I have only been to Louisiana once and it was just this past June. We really only stayed in New Orleans for a few nights so I didn't see a lot of the state. However, I LOVED the history and culture. I also found the "swamp" areas to be fascinating. I had never seen that before. Can't wait to go back. :)

I live here in LA. What drew me to move here was my husband..love that there is no snow here, but cannot stand the humidity!

No, I have not been to New Orleans however I would like a taste of New Orleans with the King Cake, I will be there this summer so this would be a treat.

I helped out after Hurricane Isaac in the Franklinton area and fell in love with the people, the food, and Louisiana Purchase! I would love to go again and spend more time exploring this fabulous state! I would love to try King Cake...I've heard about it but have never had any.

I've driven through LA a few times, but not spent any time there. One of my dreams is to visit every state, so spending time in LA is definitely on that list. I would love to try a King Cake.
