Garlic Parmesan pull-apart Bread
Ingredients
1 can of refrigerated Grands biscuits (not the flaky layers)
1/2 stick of butter
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian Seasoning (I omitted)
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Throw the cold 1/2 stick of butter in a bundt pan and let it melt in the preheating oven.
Step 2
While the butter melts, cut the Grands biscuits into quarters. In a bowl, toss the biscuit pieces, garlic, Italian Seasoning, and Parmesan cheese together.
Step 3
Once the butter is melted, add the biscuit mixture, sprinkling with any cheese and garlic that gets let behind in the bowl.
Step 4
Bake at 350 degrees for 20- 22 minutes until golden brown. Turn out on a dish and enjoy!

Wow - that looks amazing and so easy! Thanks for sharing. :)
I tried it last night, and it was super easy! Thanks for such a wonderful idea. My mom and kids loved it!
I don't have a bundt pan will a regular old round pan work? has anyone tried that?
I just put this in the oven, I did add a little of the italian seasoning to it and I also added some shredded mozzarella cheese to it. Very easy to make, hope my family likes it........ and for the person that didn't have a bundt pan, I'm sure that the round one that you have will be fine, as long as it's not just a round cake pan with no middle to it. Good luck!
Any sized pan will work, really. She even did this in a oven safe skillet and it worked great!
I made it for supper tonight and added half of the italian seasoning than what it called for,it was just ok.I would make again omitting the seasoning and use another kind of cheese.
made this tonight...wow..easy and fast...quote from my daughters friend..."I love this stuff, it's my new best friend"
I made this today, and it was super easy and tasty. I will definitely make this again. It does go well with spaghetti.
Just arrived here from Pinterest. Cannot wait to try this. YUM!
Just arrived here from Pinterest. Cannot wait to make this. YUM!
Would a small square Pyrex dish work? Or a small Pyrex bowl?
CraftyLikeLindy- Yes, either of those should work just fine!
I made this using a regular cake pan and it came out great and taste fantastic.
I made this for lunch today. YUM!
This was the perfect bread to serve along with our grilled tri tip buttered corn mixed green salad and watermelon birthday brunch for our 25 yr old son. He seemed to like it best even the fudge cake with fudge frosting was a distant 3rd
i didnt have the full amount of parm cheese so i mixed what i had with italian bread crumbs to equal the 1/2 cup of cheese. these are great!!!
What does it mean by (not the flaky layers)? Is there a biscuit
That isn't the flaky layers?
Oh my goodness! Just found this on pinterest; it looks so delicious! I am going to make this tonight to go with Shepherd's Pie. Can't wait 'til dinner. Yum, yum!
I used about half the cheese and used the biscuits as a top for chicken pot pie. It was wonderful!
Unless it specifies "Flaky Layers" on the can of biscuits, you're good. The flaky layers pull apart TOO well, in thin layers instead of chunks like the normal Grands do. I use Southern Style Grands. Mmm...
Which type of bread can I use instead of a can of biscuits?? They dont sell that where I live.
Thank you
I guess any type of raw bread dough would work.
It's in the oven now. It's going to be LOOONNNNGGGGGG 20 - 22 minutes waiting on it to bake.
How much is a half a stick of butter...1/2 cup, 1/4 cup?
1/2 stick of butter is 1/4 cup.
Made this last night, my guests watched me put it together, and went crazy when it came out of the oven. I added a little fresh chopped rosemary. It smelled good, tasted amazing. definate keeper!
Thank you so very much for sharing this recipe.... I have to make this for my hubby and I.
P.s really love your blog pg.
Making this tonight for dinner!!! I can't wait!!
You HAVE to get a bundt pan whether you make this recipe or not. No kitchen should be void of a bundt pan!
I forgot to buy the biscuits when I made this...can you believe it?! So I just used the Bisquick drop biscuit recipe...it came out delicious!!!
Can't wait to try this one. Sounds Yummy!!!!!
looks delicious. will try it tomorrow for lunch.will be serving them with meatballs and spaghetti.sure they will be a big hit. thanks and i love Pinterest.
great idea, girl!
my wifeband will love it...
Adding rosemary takes it over the top!!! YUM!
Could you double this and it come out ok?
It's in the oven in a deep dish pie plate and it smells sooooo good. I'll let you know how it turns out!
It was great!
I'm afraid to make this--I would probably devour the entire thing by myself. It looks wonderful. Thank you for sharing...and I guess I should ;-)
This is typically called "monkey bread". You can also use frozen bread dough and you can coat the pieces with a cinnamon sugar mix & have it with breakfast.
oh that sounds soooo good. but i have no idea what this refrigerated Grands biscuits are and if i can get something like that in germany too :-( is it something like pre-baked rolls or bread?? is it sweet or salty?? i have no idea how to substitute that....
It's unbaked, raw bread dough. It's salty. You could make your own biscuit dough and use that. Just roll the dough into balls and follow the recipe using those. =)
I made this for supper tonight to go along side my homemade lasagna. I did not have a bundt pan so I prepared it in a casserole dish. I also cut back on the cheese because that seemed like a lot to me. Although it turned out well and my family enjoyed it, I would recommend the bundt pan because it did not cook evenly. The outer edges were very brown while the center was barely browned.
I make this with regular canned biscuits and twist each one like a bread stick and lay them in a cake pan. I use garlic powder and parmesan cheese. They bake evenly and brown nicely, filling the cake pan when they are done.
looks yum, am thinking pizza dough would work also??
I do the same thing to make 'monkey bread' with cinnamon and sugar. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmm!
We sell garlic and I can't wait to make this!! YUMMMMMM
Found you on pinterest, just made these for my neighbors, they've been helping me out alot since my husband passed away a few months ago and they loved them. They're a hit, and I used flaky grands, I just pressed them down before cutting them. Worked out fine.
Just made this. It was GREAT.Notice I said WAS.
I made this recipe tonight and it is fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for this recipe. I made it tonight for hubby's father's day dinner and the whole family loved it.
added a little pepperoni and mozzarella to it and it was fantastic!!!
I used just regular grated cheese and it turns out great. Also, the second time I made it, I only had the flaky biscuits in my fridge and it turned out just as good, if not bettr than the first time! Not sure why it says not to use them.... :)
I made them last night and they were a huge hit! It went delish with my Alfredo I made! Also I am making 2 batches for tomorrow for work its out birthday celebrations and I am making a homemade Garlic dipping oil to dip these bad boys in when they are cool!! DELISH!
These were amazingly delicious and SIMPLE - perfect for your spaghetti night!! Winner!
So I tried this recipe for breakfast and used cinnamon and sugar instead of parmesean cheese and garlic. Also, all I had on hand was the Honey Butter Flaky layers. My kids LOVED it! It turned out sooooo well! The sugar and butter ended up caramelizing the bottom. SOO GOOD!
Just made this without the Italian seasoning and it was so good
I made this bread tonight without the Italian seasoning. It was FANTASTIC, my husband and i both loved it. Will be making it again. Thanks so much for the recipe!
Made it last night with tilapi and scalloped potatoes. It was great everybody loved it.
Anyone have good storing options for left overs? Just making it for 2 so I am sure we will have some left over and wasn't sure if I should refridgerate or cover on the counter..
Love it!-my kids did a recipe like this at camp...called Pizza Bubble Bread....just toss the biscuits in marinara sauce, sprinkle with moz. cheese and pepperoni if desired, and MICROWAVE for 6 min. Great summer kids lunch!
Thank you so much for providing this recipe! Just made these tonight and having picky boys, have to say, it's the best we've had yet. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a fresher approach to garlic bread!
Here from Pinterest :) I will be taking this to a 4th of July BBQ tonight, thought it would be fun and different. THANK YOU!
I put this in a muffin tin! 1 biscuit (4 pieces) per cup. Cooks quicker, equally delicious!! :)
Very good. Found this on Pinterest.
This is going to be my next pasta partner.
Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
I made this for my husband and myself, and we both loved it. Perfection! Thank you for sharing!
Just took these out of the oven...... heaven in a bite!! My boys loved them, and they had a blast helping me make them!
Thanks for sharing such a fantastic quick recipe!!!
I am featuring (with links back to you --of course)your yummy looking bread on Its So Very Cheri on the 24th.
Cheri
I can't get grands biscuits here in UAE... what else can I substitute for it ?
I just made them and had trouble getting them out the bundt pan...anyone had this trouble and if so what did you do to solve it?
Omg im all about the bread. Cant wait
such a good idea!
I tried these for a potluck last night! These are addictive! Everyone loved them.
I was wondering, if you are okay with it, can I re-post this on my blog, with links to this post and giving your recipe the credit?
I will use my pictures.
What is grands biscuits? Is it yeast with flour & tepid water, the normal bread dough or pizza dough?
Would like to know what is Grands Biscuits as we don't hv it here thanks wish to make this as it looks yummy
I WAS a virtuous wife...now a virtuous grandmother of 4! Hopefully, I will 'try out' this yummy recipe on them tomorrow.
These are yumskers especially with home made tomato sauce to dip in!
I must try this...looks sooo good !
This is lovely, looks so pretty, and sounds so yummy.
hugs
gina---->> I am Vegan, gonna make this, but Vegan! ((:
Wow! These look delish! I can't wait to try.. Found you on Pinterest--thanks.
Made these tonight in a round cake pan and they turned out awesome. We love garlic so we added a bit more. Incredible.
getting my shopping list together - parmesan cheese - shredded or grated?
Grated Parmesan is what I used. :)
Awesome recipe! Easy, fast, economical - what more could ya ask for!! Thanks for sharing :)
I think I'm going to bring this to my next social gathering with a bowl of warm maranara to dip them in! YUM
1. I'm buying a bundt pan
2. These are "da bomb"!
For those asking, Grands are refrigerated biscuits you just open & bake. I'm not sure, but I would think refrigerated pizza dough might work, but I am not a 'seasoned' baker. Good luck!
My two year old twin grandson's. Loves these and so does grandma and grandpa...thanks...
This recipe works better if you coat all the biscuits, put them in the bundt pan and then pour the butter over it all.
Looks lovely! But I haven't a clue about Grands biscuits - clearly not an international bake. Boo hoo :)
I made this last night with spagetti and it was delicious! @ Diane-Grands biscuits are just a brand of packaged uncooked biscuits. I'm sure any kid of biscuits, whether store bought or homeade, you have would work just as well. :)
This is now a recipe we use weekly! Thank you so much it is awesome....*
I've done this with cinnamon and sugar before for a sweet treat.
How much does one pan make? How many pans for 20 people?
Ohhh love it and so easy to make!!
Thanks!
These are delicious!!! (I did dip the quarters in a little milk so more of the coating would stay as it is very tasty.)
Doubled the recipe~ two cans of biscuits. Put half the butter in the bottom of the bundt pan, poured rest over the top! Excellent!
Trying this right now
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A BUNDT PAN USE A ROUND ONE AND PUT A BALLED UP PIECE OF ALUMINUM IN THE MIDDLE WORKS THE SAME
This reminds me of Monkey Bread ...Can't wait to try it !
3 gloves of minced garlic equals how much garlic powder??
Cannot wait to make this! Looks and sounds so easy and good
I am going to try this it sound great my daughters love bread..
Sounds amazing. Cannot wait to try it out on the fam!
Wow! must be delich!
Just wondering is anybody has "baked" this using their BBQ grill. I'm thinking of assembling this at home and then cooking it over indirect heat at a cook-out where there will not be an oven. Of course, I could cook it at home and then just heat it up in the pan on the grill...
Grands Biscuits are a brand of plain biscuits. Think, flour, grease and milk if you made them homemade, the leavening is baking powder. Also some suggested using bread dough, either the kind in the can or homemade. Either one is awesome. I loved the person who said to put them in a muffin cup. Awesome ideas!
It was good but came out very dry... Any suggestions?
have made these 4 times now family devours them
It rocked!
Just popped mine in the oven! Excited to see how it comes out looks so yummy! Thnx for sharing great idea :)
I make something like this that we call Monkey Bread, but rather than using cinnamon and sugar I use cheese and cooked, crumbled bacon. My family devours it, and frequently asks me to make it. I think I'll try this recipe tomorrow just for something different!
So freaking good! My family loves this and so do I. Thank you soooo much for sharing.
So good! I had to use Bisquick since we don't have Grands here in Spain. The Bisquick biscuits are a little thick, but good. I will try it with the Grands though once we move back to the US. My husband has told our friends here how good these are and now it's an order for our next brunch!
My husband and children inhaled these.
Seriously delicious! Was a huge hit at my party. I did not like the sound of adding Italian seasoning so I added a small spoonful of the powdered French Onion dip. The kind you add sour cream to for dipping potato chips. It added just the right amount of flavor. Thank you for sharing. I really loved it!
I added freshly grated Parmesan and Romano cheeses together with the minced garlic and then also sprinkled in some onion seasoning. Awesome bread. Everyone loved it and I had to give out the recipe to several people.
I used Pilsbury French loaf. O. M. G.
sounds good
How do you print out this recipe?
It's in the oven now. Smells YUMMY!! I think my kids are going to love this, as they always order the garlic knots at our local Italian eatery.
I'm from New Zealand and haven't seen or heard of Grands Biscuits. Can you describe them so I can try to find a substitute. this recipe sounds delicious and I'd love to try it - thanks :)
OMG this is Heaven.
Making these tonight for dinner, along with my "Forgotten Chicken" also from Pinterest. I make cinnamon monkey bread using Grands bisquits in a bundt pan as well, so I'm sure these will be yummy. Thanks for the recipe!
I did make this in a small iron skillet. It was very, very tasty with eggplant caponata.
I'm also from New Zealand, and we don't have biscuits in a can. What we call biscuits, you guys call Cookies. We do have frozen 'cookie' dough though here. (yum!)
Wiki says that Biscuit in America means something similar to a scone, but more like bread. Is that right?
Is Bisquick the same as Grands? If so, then here is a recipe off wikipedia:
One cup of Bisquick can be substituted by a mix of one cup of flour, 1½ teaspoons of baking powder, ½ teaspoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of oil or melted butter.
I'm looking forward to trying these. Yum!
I'm going to try this with homemade biscuit dough and changing from a garlic flavour to a salt and cracked black pepper for thanksgiving dinner :)
For people wanting to make from scratch, you're looking for an english style tea biscuit recipe and yes, they are similar to a scone but exactly the same.
I don't have a bundt pan, so I used an 8" glass baking dish and it came out great! It was a hit and will be a keeper in my home. Baked it for 12 minutes.
I made this last night for dinner and loved it. The Italian seasoning was great. Loved it and so did the hubby. Will def. make it again. Thanks
just perfect for company's coming for dinner ,pasta with this instead of garlic bread, aha! tahnks for sharing this easy secret..Love it already :)
This made my day. It's my nieces birthday tomorrow and her two favorite foods are pizza and monkey bread. OH BOY is she going to be surprised. Thanks
This recipe was a let down for me. It didn't look or taste as good as I had expected it to based on all the reviews. It completely fell apart when I turned it out of the bundt pan, also removing the pull-apart attraction Followed the directions minus the Italian dressing. May give it a second chance since I bought double the ingredients because I totally expected to love this recipe.
I made this for a dinner party. It was a big hit. Everyone loved it. So easy and delicious. I doubled the recipe and it baked fine in the bundt pan. I added Rosemary for seasoning and used Italian Six Cheese Blend for the cheese. Will definitely make again..
THIS WAS SO GOOD HAVE ALREADY MADE IT THREE TIMES AND EVERYONE LOVES IT
Boy, I can't wait to try this bread. It sounds wonderful and I'm sure we'll eat it up! YUMBO!
Made these for a soup party. Perfect!!
YUM! Thanks for sharing. I cooked mine a little longer and it got a little more brown, but oh my it had a crunchy crust and was delish. Thanks for sharing!
I had frozen pizza dough thawed and was looking for something to do with it and tried this; it turned out great (I did use the Italian seasoning).
How do I print the recipe without printing all 24 pages?
you could use olive oil and herbs instead of all the butter and cheese.... (i'm always looking for ways to avoid dairy....allergic to it).
I installed a "print friendly" button you can click, then click remove images (if you want) and print! =)
My son loves those Garlic Knots you can get at some of the pizza places. I know he's going to enjoy these when I make them. Thanks!
Hi there,
This is a message from Holland, over here we can not buy frozen dough, any suggestion which (dough) recipe I can use to make this bread? It sounds so good.
Thank you, Henny
can I use margering instead of butter?
I meant margerine
This is awesomeness!!! Just made it for dinner and the husband said I am now in trouble as I will have to make it for him all the time.
Just thought I would come on over and let you know that I made this a while back and it was sooo delicious! I had to pin it on Pinterest and not to long after I pinned it over 120 others repined it from me!! Thanks for sharing!!
Hey Holland!! The Grands biscuit dough is not frozen. They are in the refrigerated section at the stores here. You can use any type of biscuit dough that is available. Do they have bisquick?
Making this tonight to go with Lasagna and Maggiano's Salad. I am not using the seasoning. Hope it is a hit. Looks great!! Thank you!
I just tried this for my family, I left out the italian seasoning, and cooked it for a bit longer, but my family absolutly loved it. Thanks for the recipe!!!
Made this for a church social...they were so gone before I got any! Trying it again at home tonight, I know I will get some! Smells soooogood.
HI there, I just saw your this delicious recipe on Pintrest and would love to make it. but I was wondering if there is something else I can substiute those particular biscuits for. I live in Italy and we dont have those here:(
Thank you:)
These kind of receipe's excite me because they are so simple and time saving when you're busy!! Tasted great too. You have given me some ideas that I can use in other simple ways too. In Minnesota the winters are a very good time for the old staple of soup. This goes well with any kind. Thanks :) Joi
I just made this and it was delish! However, I didn't have a bundt pan (yes, it's on my Xmas wish list now), so I used a round Corningware dish, and the middle was still raw after 20 minutes. So, if you do use a round pan, you definitely need to put something in the middle to make a ring so that it all cooks evenly. We just ate the outer bits, then tossed the rest back in the oven to finish cooking.
My sister made this during her visit to Oklahoma. My ten year old nephew has been begging me to make it for Christmas, so here I am getting the recipe! Thanks for sharing. It really is tasty and does not taste like canned biscuits at all.
Saw this on Pinterest. Made just as written. Served with beef stew. SO GOOD! Will be making again soon.
i didn't have enough parmeasan so I used half grated sharp chedar cheese. Yum!!!
I made these for supper. I used the "flaky" Grand's and they worked just fine. I also cheated and used 1/2 cup "Mama Francesca Parmesan Garlic Blend with Spices & Herbs". So, I didn't add any extra seasoning, not even the garlic.
Everyone enjoyed them!
Made this last night and it was delicious. Will be making again soon!!!!!
Just made it for New Years Day. Added mozzarella cheese and it was amazing. Thx for recipe
I made this for a school gathering--x4. I baked in a 9x12 with a loaf pan inserted in the middle, then took it out for the last 10 minutes of so. It was a huge hit.
LMAO
I can't believe the DUMB questions some of these people ask when you put up a recipe (it's why I don't) Come on people She was nice enough to post this GREAT recipe... Google your dumb questions and give this poor woman a break!!
THANKS for sharing... I put shredded mozz cheese on top the last 5 min of baking, DELICIOUS!!!
My daughter made these tonight and they were delicious!! We doubled it and didn't let it cook quite long enough, but it was still good!!
I've been making this for years. After I made monkey bread one morning, it dawned on me I could do the same thing with cheese, garlic, and butter :) Yum!
Blessings,
Mel
I just made this and it was awesome! My boyfriend loved and it now he thinks I'm quite the chef. I didn't tell him how easy it was to make! Haha. I'll definitely by making this again, AND I'll be sharing it with my family and friends! Thanks for the great recipe!
This is yummy.
Made it. Made it again. It's a super recipe!!! Thank you
I have 2 questions, as I am from South Africa and we do not have butter sticks here. How many grams is a butter stick? also, what is a Grande biscuit?
I personally did not care for this nor did the rest of the family. The parmesan was overpowering.
Has anybody made this the night prior to eating? I have a potluck and need something I can make the night before.
I just made this - - - delish! I had Asiago cheese, so I used that and left out the Italian Seasoning (because I don't like it). I'll be adding this to my permanent recipe file. Thanks so much for posting this!
this was fantastic. so easy and so yummy.
How fun! It looks yummy. I can't wait to try this. Thank you for sharing the recipe.
I found your recipe on Pinterest and I'm so glad I pinned it for future use. I made this last evening and it was so good! Husband was trying to take credit, "say wha!?!" :)
The recipe says half a stick of butter, but under the picture it says "stick of butter." Presume it's half a stick but thought I'd check. Tks.
It's only 1/2 stick. I'll correct the directions. Thanks!
I made this for Mom's Sunday dinner today for all her kids and grandkids. It was a smash hit and will be a regular on my future baked spaghetti days. Thank you so much for sharing this delicious recipe!
I just made this and honestly was a little disappointed. I expected more Italian flavor, and yes I used the seasoning. But I think I blame that on me accidentally buying buttermilk biscuits, so I mostly taste butter :/ very happy that it was so easy to make!
IF U DOUBLE IT DO YOU INCREASE THE COOKING TIME?? i am afraid it will be soggy inside...
Are the Italian seasonings the kind you use for Italian dressing? Or are they the normal italian seasonings? I really want to make these.
I made this with Flaky Grands Jr biscuits. Worked just fine! My family thinks we would like it better with just a little more garlic, and a little less parmesan cheese.
All I can say is, it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
My mom made this as part of my birthday lunch and they are so quick and easy. Tasty too. My brother took all the left-overs :)
This looks great! Glad I found you!
Holy shinagagens this was awesome thanks!!! :)
I made it tonight to go with Sunday supper... I mixed the garlic in with the butter. I don't have a bundt so I just used a regular round layer cake pan. Just perfect. Thanks for sharing!
what size can of biscuits are you supposed to use? I only found the one with 5 big biscuits? And are Grand homestyle buttermilk the right ones??
Just made this tonight and we LOVED it! :-)
The next time I make it though, I am not going to mix the biscuits in the bowl with the cheese and garlic. I am going to place them directly into the bundt pan by alternating them one at a time (biscuits, garlic, Parmesan, biscuits, etc.
And I thought that this recipe couldn't get any easier. LOL!
Thanks for this! Mine are about to come out of the oven any minute.
Would reg garlic salt or powder work
These are smelling wonderful. can't wait to have them for dinner with spaghetti and home made wine sauce, spinach and field green salad... will be amazing
Just got this recipe from a friend last week. Have made it twice. My new favorite bread!!!
I made this tonight but I used flakey biscuits and ms dash garlic and herb. My family loved it
I have make these twice in a week, they are phenomenal. I have one tip that seemed to work out great for me. Before I added my biscuits to the cheese mixture, I moistened it with just a dab of water. It helped the cheese mixture adhere to the dough better. Thank you so much for this recipe, it is definitely going to be a new favorite around here. Watch out garlic bread, there is a new carb in town, ha ha. Thanks again!
Could wrap the lil balls of dough around a little mozzarella too, before coating!!
Making these for supper tonight to go with our spaghetti. So easy!! Can't wait! Thanks for sharing :)
So easy and so fantastic, a little piece of heaven and definitely a new staple in our home, thanks for sharing! ♥♥♥
Tried this for the first time about a month ago and we haven't had regular garlic bread since. I add some shredded mozzarella to the Parmesan mixture and it is soooo good. Thank you again for this recipe, definitely a new favorite in our house. I just have to mention them and my husband starts drooling. Making them again for dinner tonight with our spaghetti.
I made this last night. I was having a few lady friends over for an italian meal and wanted to try this. EVERYONE loved it!! So simple to make. I know I'll be making them again and I know my girlfriends that ate them last night will be making them too! Thanks so much for this recipe.
A big hit at a church potluck!
